Funding priorities 2018

Top funding priorities for 2018:

  • Wages for 4 younger women being mentored as new farmers (C$1200/year each) = $4,800
  • Funds to support wages of a second security guard to spell off the current guard (C$100 per month) = $1200
  • Long-term wish list: a second concrete water storage tank (reservoir) to make drip watering more efficient = $1500
  • Solar irrigation pump system = $2200 (installed)
  • REPLACED: Drip irrigation infrastructure (4 hectares have been replaced, 2 hectares are now funded. Replacement required after a major theft in 2013-14): Plastic piping, junctions, and taps (C$1500 per hectare) = $3000. MYRIAD THANKS to generous donors at our Spring 2017 film launch and screenings: the funding for irrigation is in place!
